Role of Mango Hill Progress Association
The Mango Hill Progress Association (Inc) has, since 1986, been recognised as an advocate for Mango Hill and North Lakes residents on a wide range of logistical, social and infrastructure issues that require consideration in this, one of Australia’s fastest growing communities. The Association has successfully lobbied all levels of Government on issues of community interest and continues to achieve much by meeting regularly, discussing local issues and acting together.
Our regular newsletter (The Mango Hill News) and monthly meetings provide the forum and opportunity for input and discussion of important issues currently affecting our local community. The Mango Hill Progress Association is respected for its community involvement in local events such as festivals, youth programs, annual Christmas Carols and fundraising activities for both this community and charitable organizations.
The Mango Hill Progress Association initiated and developed the facilities now located in Danzy Buchanan Park (Kinsellas Road West) with the assistance of various government programs. The Associaton manages the operations of the Mango Hill Community Centre (Hall, Tennis Court, Basketball Court) on behalf of the Moreton Bay Regional Council.
To more effectively reach residents in Mango Hill and North Lakes, this website seeks to keep all local residents informed of current issues and events. The Association invites readers to participate and benefit from the resources made available to you through this website. Please see our calendar of events for the upcoming meeting date. We look forward to your active participation in your community.
